App Restructure for KFC, Dubai

KFC Dubai faced a significant conversion challenge: while traffic was high, 70% of users abandoned the app before finishing their order. The original interface suffered from cognitive overload, featuring a chaotic mix of fonts and colors, alongside an endless, unorganised menu that made finding a meal feel like a chore. The redesign focused on radical simplification to bridge the gap between hunger and checkout. We replaced the clutter with a streamlined homepage featuring a search bar, intuitive filters, and "Bestseller" tags to guide quick decisions. To remove local friction, we introduced smart store selection that highlights the nearest branch and allows users to save favorites for future visits. Beyond the menu, we reinforced the post-purchase experience by fixing broken payment loops and introducing real-time order tracking with engaging illustrations. These strategic UX improvements successfully turned the tide, resulting in an 11% increase in completed orders and a 7% drop in checkout abandonment, effectively transforming "window shoppers" into satisfied customers.
